Aluminium Bifold Doors in Warminster
Warminster is about fifteen miles up the A350 from Shaftesbury, on the western edge of Salisbury Plain. Alongside the older stone and brick houses near the town centre, much of the town is made up of family homes from the 1960s onwards, and that is where a set of aluminium bifold doors often makes the biggest difference.
Replacing a patio door or a pair of French doors with a three or four-panel bifold opens the back of the house up to the garden, and every door we fit is surveyed by Kenny and installed by our own team.
Bifold Doors for Warminster Family Homes
On many Warminster homes, the existing patio door opening is already a good width for a three-panel bifold. If you would like it wider, we can arrange the lintel and making good as part of the same job, and we will explain at the survey whether Building Regulations approval is needed.
Parts of the town centre are a conservation area and some older buildings are listed. If your home is one of them, Kenny will advise on whether Wiltshire Council needs to be involved.

Bifold Doors in Warminster: Your Questions Answered
Which areas around Warminster do you cover?
We cover Warminster, Crockerton, Sutton Veny, Heytesbury, Longbridge Deverill, Corsley, Chapmanslade and Upton Scudamore, along with Shaftesbury and the surrounding area.
Do I need planning permission for bifold doors in Warminster?
Usually not. Replacing a door at the back of a house, or fitting bifolds into a rear extension, normally falls under permitted development. If your home is listed, in a conservation area and the doors face the street, or you are widening the opening, Wiltshire Council or Building Control may need to be involved, and Kenny will advise when he visits.
How many panels will my bifold door need?
It depends on the width of the opening and how you want to use it. Most homes have panels between 600 and 900mm wide, so a typical 1.8 to 2.4 metre opening suits three panels and a wider one four or five. We usually include a traffic door, so you can use one panel like a normal door without folding the rest.
What guarantee do your doors come with?
Frames and sealed glass units are guaranteed for 10 years, hardware for 2 years and our workmanship for 10 years, all backed by an insurance-backed guarantee through HomePro.
How much do aluminium bifold doors cost?
It depends on the width, the number of panels, the colour, the glass and whether the opening needs altering. Every door is made to measure, so the only way to give an accurate price is to survey your home. The survey and quote are free, and we are rarely beaten on price for a genuine like-for-like quotation.
