Anthracite Grey Windows and Composite Door in Tisbury
Anthracite Grey Windows, Tisbury
We have replaced every window in this stone-built family home in Tisbury, along with the door. The old uPVC windows were brown, tired and had lost most of their thermal efficiency, so the house was losing heat and the frames had started to let it down from the outside.
We replaced them with our casement window, featuring premium hardware, finished in anthracite grey. Against the warm local stone the darker frames look sharp and modern without feeling out of place, and the new double glazed units make a real difference to how warm and quiet the house feels. Every window was fitted by our own team, with the openings finished neatly against the stonework and the house left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Why Anthracite Grey Works on Stone Houses
Anthracite grey is one of our most popular colours, and it suits stone properties particularly well. It frames the glass, picks out the colour of the stone and hides the weathering that shows on lighter finishes. It is also a big step up from brown uPVC, which can make a house look dated very quickly.

Anthracite Composite Door to Match
A Matching Anthracite Composite Door
To finish the job, we fitted a new composite door in anthracite grey to match the windows. It has a half-glazed top with textured obscure glass, which lets light into the hallway while keeping it private, and traditional raised panels below. Being a solid core composite door, it is far warmer and more secure than the old door, and it will keep its colour and finish for years with very little maintenance.
