Flush Casement Windows in Poole
Poole’s Old Town cottages and merchants’ houses and the Victorian and Edwardian villas of Parkstone all look best with windows that suit their age. Flush casements recreate traditional timber windows, and they keep their looks for years even with the wind and salt air off the harbour.
Goldhill Glazing is a family-run window and door company based in Shaftesbury. We take on fewer projects than the big names so every installation gets the time it needs. Kenny surveys every home himself, and your windows are fitted by our own team from start to finish.
Poole asks a lot of its windows. Harbour wind and salt air are hard on frames and seals, so we take care over the fit as well as the finish. In the Old Town and around the Quay, Georgian merchants’ houses may be listed or sit within a conservation area, and consent may then be needed from BCP Council; a timber-look flush casement is often a good fit there. The Victorian and Edwardian villas of Parkstone suit our Heritage Flush Casement, while contemporary houses at Sandbanks and Lilliput often look best with aluminium flush casements from AluK. Kenny surveys every job and will advise.
Flush Casements for Poole’s Older Homes
Poole’s Old Town is a conservation area with many listed buildings, and there are more conservation areas across the town. Our Heritage Flush Casement suits cottages and period houses, and our R7 and R9 windows recreate 19th-century joinery. If consent is needed from BCP Council, Kenny will advise and give you the product details you need.
Recent work nearby includes agate grey flush casement windows in Wimborne and flush casement windows in Salisbury.

Flush Casement Windows in Poole: Your Questions Answered
Which areas around Poole do you cover?
All of Poole, including Parkstone, Broadstone, Canford Cliffs, Lilliput, Sandbanks and Hamworthy, as well as Bournemouth and Wareham.
Can flush casements be made with Georgian bars?
Yes. We can add astragal or Georgian bars to divide the glass into smaller panes, which suits many cottages and period homes. Kenny will help you choose a layout that matches the house.
What is the difference between welded and mechanical joints?
Our standard flush casement has welded corners, which are strong and neat. Our Heritage Flush Casement has mechanical joints, so the corners show a butt joint like real timber joinery. Both look far more traditional than a standard window, and Kenny will show you the difference.
What guarantee do your windows come with?
Frames and sealed glass units are guaranteed for 10 years, hardware for 2 years and our workmanship for 10 years, all backed by an insurance-backed guarantee through HomePro.
How much do flush casement windows cost?
It depends on the number and size of the windows, the option you choose, the colour and the glass. Every window is made to measure, so the only way to give an accurate price is to survey your home. The survey and quote are free, and we are rarely beaten on price for a genuine like-for-like quotation.
