Goldhill Glazing recently completed the installation of a new set of white uPVC French doors for a customer in Gillingham, Dorset. The original doors had become dated and were ready to be replaced, giving us the opportunity to improve the appearance, security and energy efficiency of the opening.

Replacing the Existing Doors
The existing doors were carefully removed while protecting the surrounding brickwork and internal finishes. Once the old frame had been taken out, we prepared and checked the opening before fitting the new French doors.
Accurate surveying is particularly important with replacement doors. The new frame must fit correctly within the existing brick opening while allowing both doors to open, close and lock smoothly.
Our installation team positioned and secured the new frame before carefully glazing and adjusting each door. The perimeter was then properly sealed and neatly finished to help protect the opening from draughts and water ingress.
